YOUR BOOK IS FANTASTIC
This book is the most important book available on cancer therapy today. I can't express how grateful I am that you have written such an important book. Many lives will be saved from all your hard work. I couldn't put it down once I started reading it! I have recommended this book to a lot of people. Even if they don't do IPT, the explanation of sugar, insulin and cancer chemistry is so helpful. Your direct, honest statements about alternative cancer therapy is appreciated.

Uh-Oh! : A Lift-the-Flap Story
Published in Hardcover by Little Simon (01 October, 2002)
Authors: Valeria Petrone and Marion Bauer
Average review score:

Uh-Oh! Is awesome
As a preschool teacher, we have used this book to the great delight of the children. It has become an instant favorite. The children love the rhymes and the "uh-oh" that happens when the milk is spilled, the balloon pops, etc. It illustrates that we all make mistakes and we are loved just the same.

Urban Injustice: How Ghettos Happen
Published in Hardcover by Seven Stories Press (August, 2002)
Authors: David, MD Hilfiker and Marion Wright Edelman
Average review score:

worth reading
It is written by a doctor who has been working with innner city patients for over two decades. He understands their medical and psychosocial issues very well but he was puzzled by many things. Including, how is it that there is such sharp geographical clustering of poverty, how is this cycle perpetuated from one generation to the next, how does 'govt. assistance' work and how is it designed?

He tried to find the answers by surveying the sociological, economic, and public policy literature. He describes his book as the type of resource he wished he had access to in medical school. The book itself is only about 130 pages (not including endnotes which were quite interesting). Anyway, I found it to be very interesting and it is totally readable in one sitting so busy people might like it.

Because my understanding of what he was trying to explain is very unsophisitcated, I couldn't read the book with a critical eye (except one type where I'm quite sure he meant "integration" instead of "segregation" but that was just one word.)

I do warn you that it isn't a cozy book (although it wasn't a screamin' shockin', bleedin' liberal tryst either, thank goodness). Just so you're prepared.

Was George Washington Really the Father of Our Country?: A Clinical Geneticist Looks at World History
Published in Hardcover by Perseus Publishing (February, 1994)
Author: Robert Marion
Average review score:

History makes genetics more interesting.
As a genetics student, I found it incredibly interesting to look at historical figures and figure out why or why not they may have had a particular genetic disease. I think this book would be interesting for anyone who may want to learn more about genetic diseases because it makes it much more interesting knowing who these people are that the diseases may relate to. Robert Marion ties together historical, genetic, and social perspectives. He brings up speculative points such as how the person and the world might have been different if the historical figure had not had the disease, how the disease made them become that historical figure. It's a book that keeps you hooked like a mystery novel and is not too technical for anyone to read.

Weight Loss from the Inside Out: Help for the Compulsive Eater
Published in Paperback by SelfHelpBooks.com (December, 2000)
Author: Marion Bilich
Average review score:

The bestbook I ever read about overcoming compulsive eating
I only wish I could have read this book twenty years ago when it was first published! The author's gentle approach helped me to learn the listen to and trust my own body's wisdom. And using the techniques and exercises she described in her book, it was so easy. I like her writing style, simultaneously both personal and professional. It felt like she was talking directly to my heart. Her guided imagery, especially the "Inner Guide" was especially helpful.
